Oxted Runners at their club championships
Race Series 2010

There are no prizes for taking part in the race series: it's simply about entering a race knowing that other members will be there as well. The races tend to be between 10km and 10 miles. The remaining dates in the 2010 series are shown below:

Sun 26 September 2010 Dry Hill 10 Multi-terrain 10 mile race from Lingfield over Dry Hill and back. New starting point at NYCPE in St Piers Lane.
Sun 17 October 2010 (TBC) Crawley 10K Multi-terrain 10K from K2 leisure centre.
Sun 5 December 2010 Crowborough 10K Popular local road 10K.

Wed 28 July 2010 Gatton Summer 10K Friendly low-key hilly XC race in Gatton Park, Redhill. 7pm start.
Saturday 14 August 2010 Hard As Snails 10K Tough scenic off-road race highly recommended by David Millen. In support of Surrey Wildlife Trust.
Sun 5 September 2010 Weald St Georges 10K Weald village, SW of Sevenoaks.
Sun 12 September 2010 Eridge Park Trail Challenge 10 Highly rated, tough 10 mile XC in deer park S of Tunbridge Wells.
Sun 19 September 2010 Tunbridge Wells 10K Popular road 10K starts and finishes in Tunbridge Wells.
Sun 26 September 2010 Switchback 5 Small multi-terrain in Lloyd Park, Croydon.
Sun 31 October 2010 Oxshott 10K Road 10K around Oxshott, Surrey.

Sun 23 October 2010 Beachy Head Marathon NOW FULL. Highly rated. Very hilly.
Sun 31 October 2010 Barns Green Half Marathon Ever-popular road half-marathon in the country lanes south of Horsham.

Cross-Country Fixtures 2010-11

Oxted Runners co-operates with sister club Holland Sports AC in the Surrey cross-country leagues. In the case of the ladies' league, the two clubs field a combined team, which finished 9th at the end of the 2009-10 season - a good result. The men's team, running as Holland Sports AC, finished 7th in Division 3 of the men's league, a good outcome in a competitive division.
