Welcome!
The Titsey Trail 10K is an exciting new cross-country trail race organised by Oxted Runners with the support of the parents' association of Limpsfield Church of England Infant School in aid of the East Surrey branch of the Alzheimer's Society. The first edition of the race last year was a great success. We got lots of positive feedback from the runners who took part, and we raised almost £5,000 for the charity. We're hoping this year's race will be even more successful. Entries have been coming in thick and fast so if you want to take part get your entry in soon to avoid disappointment!
When and where?
The race will take place on Sunday, 3rd October, 2010 starting at 10.30am on Limpsfield Common, near Oxted, Surrey, within easy reach of the M25 motorway and Oxted railway station.
What's the course like?
The 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) course will take you through the lovely wooded countryside of Limpsfield Common and the High Chart of Surrey and Kent, much of which belongs to the ancient Titsey Estate and the National Trust. Expect to meet lots of mud, rough ground and tree roots, uphills and downhills as you follow the tracks and paths that criss-cross the hills and woods. You'll find the run's fun and enjoyable with lots of beautiful scenery! There'll be winners' prizes, randomly-drawn spot prizes plus a medal for all finishers. And you'll be helping a really good cause - our local Alzheimer's Society.
